Mother Tongue
In this series I work with a language that is not meant to be “seen” but to be learned—a sensory language. It is an action not measured by formal systems, yet deserving of recognition.
It calls for rethinking the hierarchies of pain and returning power to the individual, to foreground what is displaced—what the eye does not see, or alternatively, sees but refuses to linger on.
