In this work, I record and edit an eye tracking session performed against a black background. The piece documents the movement of my gaze using eye tracking software, tracing moments of stillness and drift. What emerges is a choreographic mapping of vision “hot traces” of looking that gradually appear and fade, creating a continuous cycle of inscription and erasure.

The eye’s movement over time produces a dance of the gaze, one that unfolds without consuming any external information. Here, vision is not merely a tool for seeing but a field of memory, hesitation, and residue. fragments of emotion, time, and fleeting presence. I aim to reveal the gaze not as something that uncovers the world but as an act that simultaneously constitutes and dissolves it.

The body never appears directly, yet the eye as motion and as heat—signals its presence while alluding to its erasure.
